With almost a decade working in government and think tanks, Titilayo Ogundele founded LAYO Consulting in order to better serve decision makers in this ever increasingly hectic world from political polarization domestically to the rise of authoritarian governments globally .
As the daughter of Nigerian immigrants with experience living and studying in Taiwan and China, understanding how foreign affairs impacts domestic issues has been Titilayo's life's work.
Helping people understand these connections is why LAYO Consulting has come into existence.
Titilayo’s professional portfolio includes working in consular affairs and open source intelligence at the US Department of State, analyzing China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) at US Agency for International Development (USAID), supporting domestic energy projects at the Bipartisan Policy Center, and conducting China and Indo-Pacific research as a Department of Defense consultant. She also serves as the Communications Director for the Black China Caucus.
Titilayo holds a MA in International Relations from Syracuse University and BA in Political Science and Chinese Studies from SUNY Albany.
